MÁTLOVÁ, Denisa
This bachelor thesis deals with the nutritional literacy of high school students. The main goal is to map students' nutritional awareness, what knowledge do students have about racional nutrition, whether they are interested in it and where they get informations from. The theoretical part describes the period of adolescence, including nutritional recommendation for adolescence, the problematic of eating disorders, children obesity, causes of obesity, prevention and treatment. The last chapter of the theoretical part describes other eating disorders. For the research part of my work, I chose the quantitative method, for data collection I chose questionnare and the collection of three-day meal plans. 84 students participated in the research, out of which 60 were women and 24 were men aged 16-20. Questions 1-5 divided respondents by age, gender, school and field of study, by height and weight. Questions 6-18 asked students about their nutritional awareness, questions 19-29 asked about students' lifestyle. In the second part I compare the three-day meal plans of 8 respondents, including the evaluation of one sample meal plan. The meal plans were calculated in the Nutriservis Professional program and evaluated after. The research shows that students' awareness of rational nutrition is at a good level, students are interested in nutrition and they stated internet as the main source of information. Furthermore, the research showed that boys have better nutritional knowledge than girls and high school students do not have better knowledge than vocational school students.
Assessment of the variety of meals based on the menus of school canteens at selected primary schools
PEŠKOVÁ, Ema
The diploma thesis was solved in two selected school canteens in the towns of České Budějovice and Kaplice. The aim of the diploma thesis was to evaluate and compare the diversity of meals, especially according to the Nutritional Recommendations of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic (2015) and the evaluation of the consumer basket, which is governed by valid Decree No. 210/2017 Coll., Amending Decree No. 107/2005 Coll. , on school meals. This issue was followed by an evaluation of the frequency of inclusion of seasonal foods or meals. Research has shown that both school canteens have insufficient representation of vegetable and cereal soups, meatless main dishes and fresh vegetables. On the contrary, we can evaluate very positively the frequency of classification of fish, legumes, legume soups and heat-treated vegetables. The consumer basket did not always, but in most cases corresponded to the evaluation of diversity. In both schools there was a problem with low filling of sugars and legumes. In addition, at the second school, there was a persistent shortage of milk and sometimes low levels of fish commodity. The third part of this work - the inclusion of seasonal foods or meals was done very well by both schools. As can be seen from the above, school canteen menus can still improve. The classification of healthy and tasty meals is not always easy, but children's diets are a key factor that affects them in childhood and adulthood, both from a health perspective and from the point of view of acquiring eating habits.

Furthermore, the benefits of breastfeeding for the child and the mother are discussed, together with factors affecting breastfeeding. In addition, the availability of information on breastfeeding in the Czech Republic is also briefly mentioned. In the practical part of my thesis, I used a method of quantitative research - specifically, an anonymous non-standardized questionnaire of my own design that was distributed to breastfeeding women. I based the questionnaire on the predetermined objectives and research questions. I chose the PAPI (paper and pen interviewing) survey method and used basic descriptive statistical methods (namely, absolute and relative frequencies) to interpret the results. The aim of the study was to determine breastfeeding women's awareness of the benefits of breastfeeding for both the baby and the mother and also to identify the most commonly utilized sources of information about breastfeeding. The research was carried out in...
